One of the best hanami destination in Tokyo

With more than 1,500 cherry trees, Shinjuku Gyoen is a popular cherry blossom viewing destination in Shinjuku area. There are more than 60 varieties of trees planted in this park, this makes the blooming season longer as compared to other cherry blossom spot. You will find Winter Cherry that will bloom in February, Yoshino Cherry blossom in early April and Kanzan which blossom in late April. With a small entrance fee, it attract lesser crowds, besides, smoking and alcohol are banned, this makes the best destination for families with children or babies.
